Buffalo Grove Wins 2015 Innovation Award

Lake County Municipal League hands out the Innovation in Government Award: Buffalo Grove wins top honors among record setting entries

On Thursday, December 3rd, 2015, the Village of Buffalo Grove was awarded the 2015 Innovation Award at the Lake County Municipal League’s Annual Dinner, which featured special guest, The Honorable Governor Bruce Rauner.

Two hundred and fifteen guests attended the dinner including twenty-five mayors from Lake County, Captain James Hawkins, Commanding Officer of the Great Lakes Naval Base, Dr. Jerry Weber, President of the College of Lake County, Representative Ed Sullivan and Congressman Bob Dold.
The Lake County Municipal League Innovation Awards program recognizes municipalities that developed strategic programs to solve municipal challenges and increase the effectiveness of local government. The awards program also facilitates an exchange of information and experiences to build capacity for municipalities and jointly celebrate successful programs that could benefit other communities.
The Villages of Beach Park, Barrington and Lake Zurich were also recognized as honorable mention award recipients at the December 3rd dinner.
