Mandi Florip Appointed Executive Director of Lake County Municipal League

The Board of Directors of the Lake County Municipal League (LCML) unanimously appointed Mandi Florip as the new Executive Director. The League’s membership is comprised of 42 Lake County municipal government organizations including Mayors, Board Members and Municipal Administrators. Additionally, the League has a strong associate membership base made up of businesses striving for proactive involvement with Lake County municipalities.

“An extensive search was performed and we took our time in selecting the best candidate for a long term fit,” noted Joseph Mancino, President of the Lake County Municipal League and Mayor of Hawthorn Woods. “Mandi’s background as an attorney and in private sector management will help bring the League to a new level of distinction.”

Ms. Florip accepted the position in March, 2015 stating “I am thrilled to begin working with the LCML Board of Directors and membership base. I am looking forward to a productive year of growth.”

Ms. Florip is an Illinois licensed attorney with a background in small business law. She comes to the LCML from a Chief Operating Officer position with a start-up company based in Highland Park. Ms. Florip resides in Waukegan with her family and is active in various community groups including serving on the Gurnee Youth Baseball Board of Directors and as an Adjunct Faculty member and Running Coach for Lake County campus of Robert Morris University. She is also an active member of the Illinois and Lake County Bar Associations.
